A just-established totalitarian government places a new teacher in a classroom of young children while the old teacher is sent away. The new teacher challenges the students' view of their world. Young Johnny asks questions, but the teacher manages to twist the truth into reasonable answers. It doesn't take long for the children to see things the new teacher's way.

The grandfather of fifth-grader Gleb Borodaev was a famous detective writer, but he died before he could finish his last horror book. A novel based on a real story - the mysterious disappearance of man called Dachnik in Borodaev's country house. Gleb and his five classmates, including amateur detective Alik Detkin, decide to uncover this secret on their own.

Pseudo-scientist Abby Freitag is passionate about the strange occult. Together with her camerawoman "M" and sound engineer Freddie, the notorious media woman decides to lurk in a haunted house for paranormal events. She chooses the working title "Scary as Hell" for her project in advance, but has no idea how appropriate it is.
